Technical project leadership · Complex systems
A clear path through
complex problems.
I’m Chris Kalkowski. I break unfamiliar technical challenges into workable parts, connect the right tools and people, and build toward a practical result.
Network operations → Systems integration → Research & prototyping

Understand the connections. Find the bottleneck.
The work I’m building toward
Research, connected.
My main focus is efficient research and data analysis. These projects build the tools, measurements, and practical judgment behind it.

Collaborative efforts.
Different projects. A consistent approach: understand the goal, work across specialties, and keep the pieces connected.
Gaussian-splat gamesEngine collaboration · Testing & game development
My wife created the engine. I built games with her tools, tested rendering and gameplay, and helped expose issues through practical use.

Start with the goal.
Make the route understandable.
Break it down
Understand the parts, interfaces, and constraints. Ask what has to work together and where the uncertainty lives.
Build & test
Use existing tools, learn new ones, and test assumptions. AI accelerates the work; checking the result remains part of the job.
Connect the team
Work independently or coordinate specialists. Follow a precise brief, or develop the route when the end goal is clear.
Where the work is heading
Now. Next. Later.
Refine the foundation
Develop Swarmcord, test the research workflow, and tune the radar acquisition tools.
Make it ready to use
Polish Swarmcord for commercial release. Finalize and print the radar enclosure, check fit, and collect reviewed datasets.
Evaluate useful applications
Compare workflows by quality, time, and cost. Train and evaluate activity models with independent held-out data.
